Sea of purple

Træet på heden – bliver det altid kaldt. Det lille træt midt på Nordby hede på Samsø. De uger på året hvor lyngen blomstrer giver et fantastisk farvespil omkring det lille træ – et lilla hav omkring en lille ø :-)

“The Tree on the Moor” - is all it’s ever been called. On my favourite Danish island, Samsoe, you can find this little tree on the moor on the northern part of the island. If you ever get a chance, take a stop-over on the island - it’s well worth all the time you can spare - any season.

Almost everyone I meet on Samsoe know this little tree on Nordby Moor. In late summer, when the heather is in bloom, the little green tree stands as a small island in a sea of purple waves – a fantastic view. “

Take a picture it’ll last longer” - always comes to mind when places like these come by - so I do and when I see the photo again I’m always reminded of those places.

And this place? Has always given me so much, so obviously I had to take this photo to share with you, so you can enjoy the little ‘island’ in a sea of purple too.
